【內容簡介】
Rich People Problems is the third book in KevinKwan's Crazy Rich Asians trilogy. It follows thedramatic power struggles and family dynamics of the wealthy Young family as they deal with the impending death of their matriarch, Su Yi.

Nicholas Young returns to Singapore when his grandmother, Su Yi, falls critically ill. Her enormous estate, Tyersall Park, becomes the center of a fierce inheritance battle, as many relatives hope to claim it. Nick’s mother, Eleanor, urges him to reconcile with Su Yi, believing he should be the rightful heir.Meanwhile, his jealous cousin Eddie and other family members scheme to secure their share of the fortune.

As Su Yi’s health declines, the family uncovers more about her past. During World War II, she made great sacrifices, deepening her emotional connection to Tyersall Park. When she passes away, the family is stunned by her will—she leaves the entire estateto Nick, recognizing him as the only one who truly values it.

However, instead of keeping it, Nick makes a surprising decision. He sells Tyersall Park to the Singaporean government, ensuring it is preserved as a historical landmark rather than being demolished for profit. This angers many relatives but ultimately honors Su Yi’s legacy. In the end, Nick and Rachel move forward with their lives, Astrid finally finds happiness with Charlie, and Kitty achieves social success.

The novel humorously and ironically portrays
extravagant lifestyles and high-society conflicts while exploring themes of family, love, greed, and the true meaning of wealth. Additionally, it features formal English, Singlish, and colloquial expressions, offering a diverse linguistic experience. If you enjoy stories about luxury, drama, and cultural dynamics, this book is worth a read.
